Georgia an American thorn in the side of Russia

Mauritania: allies turned against each other

The military leaders in Mauritania has executed on Wednesday 6/8/2008 a military coup to seize power in the country, after arresting the President of Mauritania Sidi Mohamed Ould Sheikh Abdullahi, and take him to a military barracks of the Presidential Guard. The revolutionists also detained the Prime Minister Yahya Ould Ahmed Waghf with the Minister of the Interior.
