The Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has submitted on Monday 18/8/2008 his resignation after obtaining guarantees of non-prosecution on the impact of a rule that extended over 9 years and was full of challenges and overlaps on regional and international levels.

Georgia an American thorn in the side of Russia

It seems that the armed clashes which occurred between Georgia and Russia were in reality only indirectly clashes between Washington and Moscow because Russia invoke the cause of Ossetia to strike Georgian military machine and to send a letter to all the neighboring States that are trying to be hostile to them. While the United States breathes enthusiasm in Georgia so Moscow could understand that they are capable of rising wars at its borders.

Mauritania: allies turned against each other

The military leaders in Mauritania has executed on Wednesday 6/8/2008 a military coup to seize power in the country, after arresting the President of Mauritania Sidi Mohamed Ould Sheikh Abdullahi, and take him to a military barracks of the Presidential Guard. The revolutionists also detained the Prime Minister Yahya Ould Ahmed Waghf with the Minister of the Interior.
