The Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) will boost total output to over 2 million tons per year, by 2010, through the Borouge 2 project, valued at USD5.5 billion. Other company projects will include Borouge 3 the expansion of both polyethylene and polypropylene production capacities to add approximately 2.5 million tons per year, by 2014.

TAIB updates its investment opinion on QNCC from OVERWEIGHT to NEUTRAL. Considering QNCC’s plans to increase capacity, strong cement demand and burgeoning infrastructure plans by the Qatari Government; the company is expected to be strong and stable. The company achieved 9M-08 net profit of QAR 320.94 million, compared to QAR 244.94 million for 9M-07. The stock is currently trading at a PE of 8.64x.
